Why Are These Honda Vehicles Being Recalled?
These Hondas are being recalled because there are concerns that the steering gearbox assembly may have been manufactured incorrectly. The faulty gearbox could cause excessive internal friction, which could cause an abnormal noise or a momentary “sticky” feeling when the steering wheel is turned, leading to car accidents.
What Should I Do If I Have a Recalled Honda Vehicle?
If you own one of the recalled Honda vehicles, you should take your car to a local Honda dealer. According to the NHTSA, they “will replace the worm gear spring and redistribute or add grease as necessary, free of charge.”
